Plastics Recycling Ambassador India : Sandeep Patel, Founder NEPRA

Sandeep Patel is a pioneering entrepreneur with over two decades of experience, driving the evolution of the Indian waste sector from traditional management and recycling into a comprehensive sustainability ecosystem. After earning his MBA in E-Commerce Strategy and Project Management from Leeds Beckett University, United Kingdom, he returned to India and founded NEPRA in 2006. 

Under his leadership, NEPRA and its subsidiaries have established a leading ecosystem by offering a full suite of services, including ESG solutions, regulatory compliance, EPC projects, and affordable AI-driven sorting technologies. An acknowledged leader and policy contributor, Patel actively shapes national environmental policy as an active member of key committees across the MoEFCC, CPCB, Niti Ayog, CII National Environment Committee, and Waste to Worth. He is also dedicated to mentoring and empowering new entrants into the sector. 

His significant contributions and impact have earned him several prestigious accolades over the years, including the Forbes Social Entrepreneur of the Year (SoEY) award, the CNBC TV18 India Business Leaders Award, and the India Today’s Garbage Guru Award at the Safaigiri Awards. He is a Managing Committee Member of the National Solid Waste Association of India (NSWAI)
