Janavi Papriwal has 17 years of professional experience, having worked across investment banking, entrepreneurship and venture capital/private equity in multiple sectors spanning small organisations to large multinationals that helped her develop a holistic view of diverse, urban as well as rural Indian businesses.

During the earlier phase of her career, Janavi had been an investment banking professional with JPMorgan, covering healthcare, consumer and retail sectors, was a second-generation entrepreneur in the automotive ancillary space having led strategic transformation. She also had a brief experience in physical and digital networking solutions with AGC Networks.

Since the last 8 years Janavi has been in the VC/PE industry of which she had spent more than 5 years in impact investing with Aavishkaar Capital, one of the largest impact funds in India, where she lead sector thesis in food & agri-tech, climate and health-tech, ran end to end investment processes, took board positions, steered exits, managed relationships with LPs, as well as played an active role in fundraising, built fund strategy and nurtured the team. In her previous role, she was a Partner at JSW Ventures, an early stage venture capital fund, part of the JSW Group, a conglomerate with operating businesses in the core sectors.

In her current role as Associate Partner, South Asia at Circulate Capital, Janavi is responsible for strengthening CC's portfolio, driving exits, making new investments and advancing climate infrastructure and circular economy solutions in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. She is a recipient of the “Top Under 40 Alternative Investment Professionals in India 2021”, a recognition of excellence in the field of alternative investments conferred upon by the Indian Association of Alternative Investment Funds.
