Dr. Sameer Joshi holds a degree in Polymer engineering along with a PhD in Waste Management. He has been working in plastics waste management and has been supporting young Entrepreneurs who are dedicated to reducing plastic pollution. He is Fellow of Indian Plastics Institute and of Indian Institute of Valuers, Institution of Engineers India, and Senior Member Society of Plastic Engineers USA.

He is an expert on Circular Economy, Recycling, EPR & Plastics, and has his own plastic injection molding unit in Pune. He is an approved Valuer for Plant and Machinery and Vice Chairman, Governing Council of Indian Plastics Institute (2023-2025). Dr. Joshi is a member of the World Economic Forum Regional Committee Plastic Waste South-Asia member UN marine litter action group. He is also on the Niti Ayog committee (think tank of Government of India) and a member of the Environment Committee PlastIndia Foundation.

Dr. Joshi was awarded the Paryavaran Bhushan (Environment Personality of the Year) Award by Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and Environment Club of India on World Environment Day 2023. He also holds a Guinness World Record for the world's largest T-shirt from plastic waste in 2018. He is a member of various other Associations including Advisory Committee CIPET-Dept. of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, India, and Environment Committee Assocham India among others.
