Ganesh Karankal is the Director India for the Plastics Division at Lindner Washtech GmbH. Based in India, he leads Lindner’s initiatives in developing sustainable and high-performance recycling solutions for plastics and waste across India and the SAARC region.

With more than 13 years of experience in the plastics packaging and recycling industry, Ganesh combines deep technical expertise with a passion for circular economy innovation. His work focuses on advancing washing and pre-sorting technologies for post-consumer film, rigid plastics, and bottle-to-bottle applications for PET and rHDPE. Before joining Lindner, he held key roles in leading recycling technology firms, contributing to several pioneering projects that brought European standards of recycling efficiency to India.

A mechanical engineer by training with advanced degrees from Mumbai University, JNTU Hyderabad, and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode, he brings a blend of engineering excellence and strategic leadership to his role. Beyond industry, Ganesh is an active sustainability advocate and founder of the UMIKA Foundation, which promotes plastic waste collection and reforestation initiatives in India.
