Prof. Saha is an internationally known professional with 37 years of rich experience in the field of Packaging Science & Technology. He is the former Director at Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP), India’s premier Institute in Packaging under Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt of India.

He was Vice President of World Packaging Organization (WPO), Secretary General of Asian Packaging Federation (APF), Board Member of many organizations under Govt of India.

Presently, he is:

• Visiting Professor, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Mumbai

• Technical Advisor, APEDA, Ministry of Commerce & Industry Govt of India

• Chairman- 3 Sectional Committees-Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Govt. of India.

• Expert Panel Member, Indian Pharmacopeia Commission, Govt. of India

• Expert Panel Member, BIRAC, Dept of Biotechnology, Govt. Of India

• Permanent Honorary Member of Asian Packaging Federation (APF)

• Eminent speaker at national & international Packaging conferences

Prof. Saha has authored several books in Packaging and the latest one being “Food Packaging – Materials, techniques and environmental issues” published by Springer in 2022. He has published 20 Research papers, more than 600 articles in Packaging and acquired a Patent on “Packaging Container made of Plastic laminated Tube for liquid jiggery” for the enhancement of shelf life up to 180 days.
